  • Restaurant and Admin Data: Name, business email address, billing information, and phone number.
  • Employee Data: Names, roles, and shift rotation schedules provided by the restaurant manager.
  • Training Data: Menu answers, spoken practice answers, transcripts, training results, notes, and progress reports generated during training.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our website and platform, derived from cookies and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Cusinea platform.
  • To power the interactive AI training modules and generate real-time feedback for staff.
  • To facilitate shift scheduling and ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • To analyze usage trends and improve the overall user experience.
  • To communicate with you regarding updates, support, and necessary administrative notifications.

3. AI Processing and Your Choice

Cusinea uses Google Gemini as a third-party AI service for voice training, voice order training, visual training feedback, and selected training assistance. Before an AI training feature sends information, the app explains what will be shared and asks for your permission.

Depending on the feature, the information sent through Cusinea's backend can include your microphone recording, its transcript, menu answers, conversation text, selected menu items, notes, and training performance results. This information is sent to Google Gemini to transcribe, generate a simulated customer response, or provide training feedback. You can decline this optional AI processing and continue using non-AI parts of the app.

4. Data Security and Retention

The security of your data is paramount. We implement enterprise-grade security measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information. We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal or reporting requirements.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with service providers that help us operate Cusinea, including Supabase for application data, Google Cloud for hosting and storage, Stripe for restaurant billing, and Google Gemini for the AI processing described above. These providers receive only the information needed for their service and are expected to protect it under their applicable terms and agreements. We may also disclose data if required by law.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. You can manage employee data directly within your admin dashboard. For other requests, please contact us.
